does anybody know if the 2001 V8 oil level sensor uses a gasket, o-ring or just sealant.

Engine Lubrication System (Low oil level sensor washer) #35

http://www.scribd.com/doc/215145852/Engine-Description-and-Operation

ok, but there's no part number. i've looked on RockAuto and AZ and i don't see anything listed. do you know what it's made off? do you think i can make one? i don't want to remove the sensor and not be able to seal it again.

Edit: part # 6C626. it appears to be made of rubber, or maybe neoprene. i see it available on-line. prices vary greatly.

E9DZ-6C626-B looks like molded silicone rubber attached to a metal outer ring.

Seems to be a $2.50 part then places are jacking that up and overcharging for shipping. $4.38 delivered on ebay:

i'd looked on ebay last week, there was only one listing and the shipping on the $2.50 part was $18 and change. i'll gladly pay $4.38. thanks for the link. i just bought it. now i'm sorry i just put in 15,000 mile/12 month oil... LOL
