Do you mean the oil pressure sending unit? Or the dip stick tub?

I'm thinking he's talking about the oil level sensor that is on the side of the pan.
You can see it here, on the side of the oil pan.

I don't know any tricks.. and unfortunatly, my lego motor will need it changed too. It leaking (not bad, but enough) after only 30k miles. Also, I don't have the wires connected to mine. It would show low oil when I got really off camber wheeling.
