What is an oil pressure release valve?
Oil pump turning you have oil pressure
Engine off no oil pressure
If you are looking for a place to drain the oil from the block at a low spot… there are some plugs in the 4.0 for that
The factory oil filters do have a pressure bypass built in
Purpose of the Bypass Valve:
The bypass valve is designed to allow oil to flow around the filter media when the filter becomes clogged, ensuring that the engine continues to receive lubrication even if the filter is heavily restricted
