oil pressure switch

yea my explorer threw the code oil pressure switch/sensor failure, i bought the new part, and i know it threads into the block, but i cant seem to find it???

a picture would be worth a thousand words

cant seem to find anywhere as to the location on a 3rd gen, thats why i posted.

Almost all Fords have the oil pressure sensor at the front left side of the block. It's hard to see, but it does come straight out the side. It's just behind the timing cover, just above the oil pan. Here's my 4.0 SOHC V6 sensor, with the timing cover off.
