Motorcraft synthetic blend 5W-20. That is what Ford is specifying for that yr/engine now... Walmart has 5 quart jugs for like $13.00

i've always ran mobile one sync but with this new castorl edge out its worth the extra money it protects the motor. its worth the money i dont trust the 15,000 miles it says on the castrol edge. even tho i change it at 5000 miles an it was still very clean but better safe than sorry

Can-O-Worms.
That's not the oil to use. That's what the "which oil" questions open.

LMAO! Thank you. I always think the same thing when these same threads get posted over and over and over again.

I needed that. :)

Hey guys I will be switching over to the motorcraft synthetic 5w20 and also motorcraft oil filter. I will post like or dislike in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the info gentlemen. Remember people not to be so serious these are only questions. God bless you all.

If you read between the lines above, you'll see that there is more than one person's opinion on the subject (and Joe is a good man). However, not everyone agrees with the "Synthetic Blend" argument (myself included). Try one or both of the site's SEARCH engines and you'll find over a decade's worth of opinions on what is "best". At the end of the day, what is best is what suits YOU and your budget. No one oil, brand, filter is best for everyone and there is definitely no censensus "best". Far from it.

Keep looking!
