Okay, i just bought a new head unit but..

it wont power on, i have no idea why. I have everything hooked up right, soldered the wires and everything but it will not work. I replaced the fuse. but i dont know, its an 03 XLT. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Make sure none of the bare wires (where you soldered) are touching each other or metal. I use shrink tube on everything i solder. Check to see if your ground is sufficient enough (if applicable). Or try some die-electric grease on the connectors. These are just basic things you can try. Good luck
 






there was no voltage coming from the ground, but theres no other place to put it.
 






Maybe check to see if the HU has a fuse itself. I had a fuse pop on my Alpine, checked everything else, and eventually I saw the fuse on the back of the HU, replaced it and it was good to go.
 
























Got it working, one of the wires was not together :)

get the Alpine ( KTP-445 ) Power Pack, then get some door speakers of your choice, and notice a major upgrade in your stereo for fairly cheap :thumbsup:

with no major excess wiring like a tradtional 4 channel amp...
