Since it concerns a '99, this should probably be posted in the 2nd gen forum ('95-'01).

However, I'll take a crack at it. Without doing an hour or so of research, I would say that $2,500 would be a good asking price (assuming the trans is new/rebuilt, otherwise, go w/ your $2k, and stick to it). It's the middle of a snowy winter, and you're selling an AWD vehicle.

The 225k on the clock will cause some "resistance" from some buyers, but on the other hand, the trans only has 50k. Actually, you didn't specify that it was new or rebuilt. Assuming it is, and you have paperwork on the trans, then it's a selling point. If you just put a high mileage junkyard trans in, then don't even mention it.

My "rule of thumb": If you put in a new/reman part (whatever it may be), then talk it up, and use it as a selling point/justification for a higher price. If you simply used a used part to restore a basic function that anyone would expect to work anyway, then don't even mention it. It doesn't really add any value, and onkly serves to remind potential buyers that "things break".
