I always stop and if possible put it in neutral

well isin't that somewhat useless? Is that the draw back of auto hubs? So if i had manuals in here then i could go back and forth no problems i assume? With the hub's locked of course, But autos you can't?

I've never had a problem shifting on the fly. But I have manuals now anyway, so I'm usually stopped to put it in 4WD.

Chris,

Do you leave your manual hubs engaged all the time?

Jim

Shift on the fly should work all the time, I believe it works better with manuals because the front drivetrain is already up to speed, and I also am almost always stopped when I push the button.

I leave them engaged when I know I will be using 4WD, then I can still push the button and engage it.

i have auto hubs in here now, no manual's yet.
