I took my wife out last night for dinner, and when we were ready to get into our car the remote didn't unlock the doors so I used the key to unlock the X. When I got in I noticed it wasn't my X, has this happened to anyone else?
One key opening more than one X?

LMAO, That's priceless....

It can happen...There's only so many combinations on that key.

We had a wierd one at the dealership once. There was a Buick Park Avenue and a Chrysler 300M parked right next to one another, and when the unlock on the Buick's remote was pressed, it was the same frequency as the lock on the 300M. I locked the keys in that 300M many times before I finally figured out what was going on.

I came out of the mall one day, unlocked my doors and the trunk of a volkswagen next to my Xplorer popped! I looked around for a few minutes to see if I was on candid camera, closed the trunk, and did it again and sure enough the truck popped again...

Same Key

But it was an identical X, I was like wow, I would like to have that stereo. It was a nice Kenwood, but the owners could have seen me and call the cops too. Now I am thinking of getting the club or something like that.

Back in the day, my mothers 94 aerostar key worked on my friends 94 t-bird. I always used to steal his car...

my friends mustang key worked on my old bronco, only found out because my keys were locked in the truck.

even if the key worked on the door the passlock, or whatever system Ford uses would not have allowed the engine to start. It's a chip in the key that is encrypted to that car. The odds are better that you would win the lottery twice than someone be able to start your car with their car's key.

I used to have a 98 contour that would open and start my dads 96 f-150

I have only played three times and the only thing I won was some scrap paper.

Oh, and one of those little pencils.

Might be that the truck didn't have the PATS system
I could start my old escort with my mom's house main door key :dunno:

Maybe we just have some crazy magical key powers! We could like start a super hero group the three musKEYteers, but we would only be two. We might need to look for a better name to because people might just think musky as in smelly and you can't get the babes with that kind of reputation.

same thing happened with a honda civic i had. same key opened two cars, but wouldnt start the car, so the only thing u gotta worry about is the stuff in your x. maybe time to get a new 2way pager alarm?

Oh yeah? Well I have two keys that open one mountaineer! Beat THAT!

I'll let you borrow one of mine, but it is nothing more than a friendly gesture. Gay marriage might be legal in Iowa now, but I just don't swing that way!
