I have a 1997 Ford Explorer and I recently picked up a 2000 Explorer with a bad motor.

1. The main thing I want to do is I want to install the entire back door onto my 97. Is this possible?

2. I also want to put the 2000s steering wheel on mine because the one in mine the cruse buttons are all broken and missing. Once again is this possible?

EDIT: Added pictures:
The white one is the parts car.

Im sure the wheel fit just fine, but you will most likely have to change the clockspring out with it so the cruise control buttons work. The radio and climate control most likely wont work at all.

As far as the hatch goes. The body lines are similar but not totally the same around the tail lights. You would have a gap there for sure. The only way to find out for sure would be to give it a try.
