Opinions needed: dump it or keep it?

Hey there,

I got a '92 X with 114,000 miles on it and its recently been troublesome. One of my wheels fell off, brakes have been a pain, transmission is now starting to slip and its already been fixed once.

My question to you guys is do I

a: keep the car and pay for rebuild
b: sell it (how much can i get, is in perfect physical condition with some tranny probs...)
c: part it out? is that even worth the hassle?

It all depends. How long have you had the truck? Is it your first vehicle? People tend to keep their first car for sentimental value. I was in the same situation with my first car and it was hard to let go until I got my brand spankin' new '97 X. I kept both for about 6 months and decided I have no use for it and sold it for $1000.

I don't know what your situation is but if the truck is giving you lots of problem lately and you neither have the time nor the money to fix it and then it's time to let it go and buy a more reliable vehicle like (gulp) a Toyota.
