Okay, I found some goood places around in Oregon. Tillamook OHV Trails-State Park looks to be the start for me to explore in this area. Some of the trails: Diamond Mills, Trask, Jordan Creek I beleive these are stated to be more difficult as opposed to the easy-I do not know what their definition of more difficult is. Tillamook is just West of Portland. It appears there are plenty of good sites around Bend,OR also, although I hear Bend is severly over-populated these days. Anyway my .02 and let me if your in the area.

Lots of good trails in Tillamook. I spent the weekend camping and wheeling there...

Thanks for letting me know Lewdog. What mods have you done with your 2001, any? I may plan to go there next weekend and stay till the 3rd or 4th. Does Tillamook have any special activities/events during the weekend of the fourth?

I haven't heard of any action at Tillamook on the 4th, but that doesn't mean there isn't...

My Sport is stock, but last weekend at Tillamook convinced me to buy some tires, and see about lifting it.

hey maybe you oughtta put together an event in Oregon - I'd go! Is your area anywhere near Beaverton?

Good Luck Lewdog. Hey Matt, Beaverton, OR is west of Portland and in the same vicinity of Tillamook-I beleive. I would have to check out Tillamook before I get something going for us all. If it turns out cool enough, we're there! I can't recall where you live though Matt?

I'm from Littleton, CO, I love traveling though (as long as my Explorer doesn't break down and make the trip really non-enjoyable) :).

CO Well, Tillamook sounds to be similar to Moab UT in some ways, but let me check it out and give you the fact sheet;} I will go out there Saturday, if as good as it sounds, i'll take some pictures and post. The trip up here from Colorado is nice, although you would probably have to stop and wheel some of the areas along the way;]

Tillamook would make a great place for a run. There's lots of camping in the area. And yes, it's close to Beaverton (about 30 minutes). I haven't been to Moab (yet), so I can't offer a comparison.

I'm up in North Central Washington, I'd be in if I can get the days off so let me know. This would help me decide if I am ready for the colorado run or not. Either way sounds great

Have you made it out to Tillamook yet, adionne?

Tillamook

Yes & No, I went to the OHV area at Diamond Mill Mtn. which is just about 10 miles prior to Tillamook on 06/24. I smoked the brakes real bad comming down Diamond Mill-A long way down decline-but awesome scenery. My brakes were boiling so I stopped and cooled them off. Anyway, time was running out and I did not push on to Tillamook. I would like to get all the way to Tillamook this weekend or next, it's a two hour treck from Keizer. I went to Mt. Theilsen over the Fourth.
