no I was simply "bumping" the thread up to maybe get someone's attention

Does anyone know how I would run the shifter cable into the cab of the truck? Is there a place already there for one or do I need to drill a hole?

I don't think there would be a hole there already. Try pulling up the carpet to see if there is one. Who know's maybe overseas that is a choice and so they make an access pannel there.

Personally I think it's a great idea to swap your case. If I could find one for really cheap I probably would do the same. I don't like relying on electronics in most situations.

Uh.... The BW 13-54 Manual is nto cable operated. it is a metal linkage that comes thought the floor at the trannsmission hump.

I think that every one is making this conversion out to be lot harder than it really is. It is a bolt in swap for the most part. and if you sell your Stock Parts it wont cost you much either.

When i had to put my shifter in my floor from when i changed if from an auto to a manual there was already a hole for the shifter, but there was a plate that i had to remove, 4 screws, and i had to get a plate from the junk yard that had a hole in if for a shift, now i don't think this hole was big enough for the shifter and linkage for the manual case, you might have to, well i know you will have to buy that metal piece that bolts to the floor board and then rip your carpet up and see if there is a hole like i had in mine. I might use the same hole, just a different plate to bolt up too. I'll be anxious to see what you find out.

Happy trails!!

Kris, Thanks for the info and excuse my ignorance. I just don't wanna be halfway through and have to say "what now"? And actually, I'll probably make a profit off the whole thing.

Could you elaborate on what the transmission hump is? Is it the hump that runs along the body of the truck where the center console sits?

Not sure if you were talking to me, but that is the hump where shifter goes if that's what you were asking. Does your's have a center console in the floor? If so, i'm not sure how you would mount the shifter for the t case? That should be fun!!

Happy trails!!

Josh, thanks for answering my question. That's pretty much all I needed to know. Yeah my truck has the luxury console but I'm ripping the sucker out.

No problem buddy, just glad to help. Are you hoping to get this done before the runs this spring/summer? That would be nice.

I'm kinda glad i didn't have a console in mine, good place to lay some things if you ask me!!

Happy trails!!

Yep gotta get it done by the time tellico comes around. I would hate to be doing a water crossing and *ZAP* there goes my 4x4.

Hey now, don't be saying that kinda stuff cause i'll still have the electric and i can't afford to be doing another conversion!!

Happy trails!!
