Outside air temperature not working

I have lost the outside air temperature reading on my 2007 explorer eddie baur.
Has anyone out there had this problem ?

Loren, this might be a dumb question, but did you press the "EXT TEMP" button on the climate control pod?

Ext temp

No question is too dumb.
My system does not have an ext temp button. It is automatic and displays when i turn the ignition on or if i change the inside temp, it goes off and then back on automatically.
All that displays now is the inside temp setting.

WELL I HATE TO ADMIT IT BUT I FOUND THE BUTTON I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD AND WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT? IT FIXED THE PROBLEM!
IN MY DEFENSE, IT'S MY WIFE'S CAR AND I RARELY DRIVE IT.
I USE A WET FINGER STUCK OUT THE WINDOW OF MY OLD 94 F150 WHEN I NEED THE EXT TEMP. HOW WOULD I KNOW THAT THE "EXT" BUTTON ON HER HIGH TECH RIG NEEDED TO BE PRESSED

I INVESTIGATED FURTHER AFTER YOU ASKED ABOUT THE "EXT" BUTTON AND GUESS WHAT? THERE IT WAS, HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT. I PRESSED IT AND ALL IS WELL.
IN MY DEFENSE, IT'S MY WIFE'S CAR AND I RARELY DRIVE IT. WHEN I NEED THE "EXT" TEMP ON MY OLD 94 F150, I JUST STICK A WET FINGER OUT OF THE WINDOW AND I'M DONE. NO HIGH TECH FOR ME!

No problem, Loren. That's sorta like if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it still make a noise? LOL
