I'm having an issue with my outside keypad in my '13 Explorer. I went to go set a new code via MFT settings and when I put the factory code in it did nothing. Just sat there. So I did a factory reset and after that it allowed me to enter my code. It confirms it and says it was added. The only issue is that no codes work when trying to unlock the vehicle. Not even the factory code. And I learned this the hard way and was locked out of the vehicle one evening last week. Has anyone else had or is having this same issue? Maybe something can be done before I have to go visit my dealer. Thanks.

I accidentally deleted my code as well and the outside keypad wouldn’t work with any code I put may it be my code I made before the delete or the factory one. Just last week after my car locked in the car wash for no reason I entered my factory code in the settings and it asked me if I wanted to change the code which I did. Is your issue that it won’t let you input a new code or anything on MFT? Did you install the new update recently? Did you try a hard reboot? I had no issue so I don’t know why you should.

I'm not sure on how to a hard reboot so I didn't try that. But I do have the new updated installed and was hoping that would have fixed it. My main issue is MFT allows me to add my code but nothing works from the outside.

I tried that too so I just added my new code by using the outside keypad.....20 seconds and done!

Just for future use a hard reboot of MFT is through settings. I believe it is under the settings option in setting and the second to last option. It will clear your backgrounds and radio presets though. It seems that if MFT allows you to enter the code then something is wrong with the outside keypad. Now that I think about it a hard reboot probably wouldn’t do anything because it is probably a different computer system. I would definitely see if anyone on here can help you such as the Ford customer service representatives and if not make an appointment at your dealer.

Use the key pad itself to reset and or enter the new code....forget the FMT....at least the FMY would not work for me, however the key pad entry worked like a charm.....best regards Plum

Something must be up with my keypad. I attempted to reset and then enter a new code from the pad and nothing. I'll get in touch with my dealer to try and get it fixed. Seems not to be a simple fix, that pad looks to be integrated into the door. Errrr...

I think the pad can pop out… after my car got stuck in the car wash (thread ongoing) because the door locked they popped out my keypad and tried to open it that way… I thought they where going to break it but I know the guy and trust him and he didn’t so anyway, hopefully they can just pop it out and tell you the issue.

That would be nice and I hope it's that easy for me. I will update the thread with my results. I'm looking at a few weeks out before I get to the dealer.
