Outside temperature and heated mirror mods

Hi,

I have a 2002 XLS. Anyone add the exterior temp sensor to the base XLS? (I know the dash has the capability) Anyone swap out/add exterior heated mirrors? (I did this on my Maxima) FYI, I already bought another remote from ebay and programmed it myself - was trivial.

Well - I guess nobody has done either of these or is interested! I think it would be cool to do these to upgrade the 3rd gen xls.

I would love to hear your comments on these mods!!

Me too, I did a somewhat similar modification to my 2nd Generation Explorer when I added the Overhead Console to my truck. It was cheap and definetely worth it. However, I don't know how much it would run you for your 2002 XLS... you'd have to tear out the dashboard and odometer area to install everything... I'd figure it'd be pretty costly :-(
