Overdrive issues, and gas pedal

Just wondering what the tranny issues are with these things. Got an 02' with 140k. I have to run mine with the overdrive off or my OD light flashes super fast and eventualy kicks the Check engine light on. cycle the key off and back on, light goes out, but you have to keep overdrive off or it pulls this crap. Killing my gas mileage, and feels like it shakes/shutters too. had a P code pulled at one time, forget what it actualy was, auto store didn't have a code for the one it was throwing, said they never seen it before. I looked it up on the net, heard it was some type of solenoid issue, possibly overdrive bands broken???

also....got a super sticky accelerator pedal to, may just be a lubrication issue. this common?
