Get these for the main "bulb" .... Oem standard dome/ map bulbs are dim at best.
These are what you want here on link:

These are advertised as pure white....what you want...not the common hideous blue tint white that has the bug zapper blue hue / tint to it....

So do I just wire those ones in to the dome light wires

Our responses might have been off...I assumed you meant dome/ map light unit...being I don't have an EVIC in my Explorer...but I guess you are referring to EVIC console...so disregard our messages.
But on side note, since I already started rambling on it.... I do recommend using the super bright light "panel" I listed for the CENTER dome light...there's 3 bulbs in that overhead fixture: Dome (center bulb) and two (outer) "map" lights... the center bulb uses a "festoon" bulb (google it for pic) and this kit has the adapter for that. The two outer "map" bulbs are T-10's ...I also recommend the bright LED's for those as well.....as stock style ones are not bright at all.
Hopefully someone will chime in on your issue.....the OVERHEAD EVIC CONSOLE.
