Do the sensors really go bad? I do have 128k miles on the truck. Could it be coolant mixing in the oil? It smells like coolant and how often do you top it off? engine code comes on and off. It recently passed an emmision test (while it was off).
 






Yes they go bad. You can try pulling it out and cleaning it.

If your coolant and oil is mixing stop driving. You probally have a bad head gasket.
 






Well how would I know? When I bought the truck 4 years ago it smelled the same. I put in the stop leak balls and it seemed to work for the last 4 years till now. I guess they could be 2 different things going on.

It's such a hassle to reach the sensor. I guess I could borrow my brothers jack and stands.
