I have a 1996 Explorer XLT 5.0.
I am getting a code P0156. According to my BlueDriver scanner, this is O2 Sensor Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2.
It also shows three failures in the mode 6 data:
Lean to rich sensor threshold voltage (constant), Status: Test Fail TID: 02 ID:11 MIN: 0x8052 VAL: 0x00 MAX-
Lean to rich sensor threshold voltage (constant), Status: Test Fail TID: 02 ID:21 MIN: 0x8052 VAL: 0x00 MAX-
Reserved for future standardization, Status: Test Fail TID: 52 ID:00 MIN: - VAL: 0x1EEB MAX 0x00
The first problem is that TIDs 02 and 52 seem to be undocumented. At least, I cannot find them in the Ford "OBD System Operation" doc for 1996 (or any other year).
Also, I replaced all O2 sensors just a year ago or so. I think I have been seeing an intermittent failure on Bank 02 Sensor 02 ever since I bought the car a few years ago. Both before and after I replaced the O2 sensors.
Incidentally, I am also getting a code 0446 (evap vent circuit) which I assume is unrelated but I have noticed a number of posts in which people had both P0156 and P0446.
Does anyone know what TIDs 02 and 52 mean?
