Can't seem to figure out what's causing the car to drop into limp mode occasionally. It's happening when I first start the car and it will go away if I turn it off and turn it back on. I've replaced the PCM because the original PCM was not starting sometimes and the AC wouldn't work right. Even after replace ever part of the AC system. However the orginal PCM would never had to go into limp mode. With the replacement PCM AC works great but the car randomly goes into limp mode. I've tried shaking the wiring harness and watching for faults in Forscan with no luck. The most consistent way to get into limp mode but not all the time is quick acceleration in reverse. And I have a new EGR on the way. I'm thinking there some kind of short somewhere but I cant seem to locate it. Even took it to a ford dealership which was useless they had to for 3 weeks and provided not useful information.

One thing I forgot to mention is the replacement ECM is from 4x4 explorer. I haven't re-flash PCM yet to change it, as its a beta options in the new forscan.

So I just noticed the condensate is dripping on the wiring harness. And there's a TSB for 9-22-15 for it but mines a 12/09 build. Wondering if waters getting in somewhere that would effect all those circuits. Appears everything faulting out is on the S100 splice.

Anyone know if VREF should have continuity to ground? Appears to happen as soon as the ECM is plugged back in. Didn't seem to make sense to me.
