paint color codes?

i have a 98 sport SOHC, its white with the gray fender flares. i know the color code for the white, but whats the color code for the gray? i know they gray is slightly different throughout a few years. i need to get some touch up paint and i went to ford, and the genius in the parts dept. said, "theres no color code on the door for the gray. that means you cant get it." im sure i can get it somewhere. maybe napa, pep boys, or a local body shop or something. any suggestions?

(and, yes im aware that touch up paint doesnt look amazing, but it looks better than the dime-sized rust spot on my front bumper from a rock.)

paintscratch.com doesnt have the code for the gray

Have you tried to look at the color codes on your driver's side door? There should be two codes on the sticker. It'll say the code above the words "Exterior Paint Color". For example, for my truck, the codes are DZ and SH. The DZ is Light Saddle Metallic Clearcoat and SH is Medium Williow Metallic Clearcoat.

From what I got from paintscratch.com, the code for your color is RC, which is Medium Platinum Metallic Clearcoat. That's pretty close to a gray. Just read the sticker and check if I'm right.

i checked the sticker, the only code is YZ for the white, no gray one.
