Im new here and i have been reading on stuff to do to my x and ive decided to paint the grill black and so my question is should i lightly sand it between coats? theres a slight imperfection in some parts of the first coat and i wanted to get it out

are you painting over a chrome grille? did you scuff the chrome and use an etching primer or adhesion promotor? and yes you can lightly sand between coats to get out some imperfections.
 






i scuffed it real good but i didnt use the adhesion promoter... uh oh

I plasti-dipped mine with no prep and its help up good for months.
 






no need for andhesion promotor as long as it is scuffed real well and it is clean
