Although I haven't been posting on this site for long, I have been an avid reader for sometime now. With that being said, I did a search for this info first and couldn't find anything. If I overlooked something, please point me that way!
I was thinking about having my hood, and only my hood, repainted. My car is black, in case you didn't notice by my username. A buddy of mine does a great job and is hooking me up with a great deal: $150. He's done a great job on everything else I've seen. The reason I want mine repainted is because there several rock chips in the hood, as well as a few other bad spots. I run an auto detailing business, so the paint is in good shape other than that.
What's everyones opinion's on this? Do you think it's a good idea or a bad idea? Has anyone had this done, and with what results? I'm hoping there won't be a noticeable difference between the hood and the rest of the car if I get it repainted; i.e. such as different shades or anything. I would think black wouldn't be hard to match.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
