Alright whats up everyone? Next weekend Im going to completly shave all my emblems, paint the plastic peice over my LP, and paint the trim right above the bumper all white to match my truck. What would be the best way to do this? i was going to go to Oreilys and get some sort or basecoat and find a matching spray paint to do it, then add a couple of clear coats. Would this be good enouph or would i have to do more?

Also, I want to make a custom Ford Logo. I read Hartmans right up on painting it and i was wondering if it would be possible to have my emblem on the back a white oval, with red writing or vica versa. In the write up, it looks like the letters will have to be chrome reguardless. Is this true? I would try to check, but where in the middle of a horrible storm right now....isnt sposed to let up for a long time....Oh well lemme know when yall can thanks.

Make sure you use a good sealer. One that will stick to both plastic and metal surfaces (some sealers require a adheason promoter first). Also scuff all the plastic pieces with at least a gray scotch brite (get those edges!). And finish all your painted and exposed metal surfaces with 800 grit paper before paint. Good luck!
