Rofl... I can't STAY at the one "in town", so I sincerely hope it doesn't rain

Y'all newbies: it's tradition to camp at Red Ridge campground, 15 minutes outside of paragon. Since it's also Toyota Fest weekend, I took the liberty of calling and reserving us a few spots. As of now I'm tentatively in for both days, probably coming up Friday night if nothing else goes wrong with my current family problems. I think everyone will get in just fine, so no more talk of entering the park illegally (as funny as it would be to see our guide get yelled at, even I can't do that to him).

Shelby might be legal by then, if she is I'll try and drive her up just so y'all can poke fun of 'the stocker'- but I doubt she'll be wheelable so I definitely have to be camera *****. And strap *****, and pick-on-***** 'Course, I could always reverse Jack's Torsion twist and nab the shackles and 32's off Tank... oh wait, there's already a lifted Striped Explorer, I'd be a copycat

got a question, what does the guide do?

never heard of having someone "guide" following you and telliong you what you can and can not or should not do.

Can you do anything that you want meaning go on any trail or anywhere in the place that you want to try?

Paragon requires you be guided or self-guided in groups of 3 or more. To be self-guided, you need to watch an hour long video before being allowed to guide your own group. Paragon is freaking huge, you need a guide who is competant.

The guide is someone who's been down every trail in the park and is an experienced spotter who can minimalize damage to the trucks he/she's guiding. Also, they need to know the best recovery and extraction techniques and what to do in emergencies. Hate to say it, but ours is one of the best because all he ever does is wheel

As for the other stripey one, I'm sure she'll show up at the campground at least (SHE BETTER :frustrate: ), but doubtful on the trails unless we can convince her owner otherwise, lol.

i dont know when you were last at paragon, but the vid is not an hour long now adays (unless they have changed it in the last 3 weeks) and as long as one person in the group has seen the vid the rest of the group is fine. so i have suffered throught it, it was long and boring (altho not an hour, maybe 20 min) and full of very useful information

Well its good to have a guide. and we are fortunate to get a great one. There is plenty of spotting to be done and our guide can spot some trucks through some nasty stuff succesfully. Lets enjoy this

sn0- thanks for the invite, I can't make it I have an engine and regear to get done on the Bronco. I do have a buddy with an 88 Bronco who is dying to test his newly installed lift, can I send him your way?

well i got new shocks and when i went to test them out, put it in 4x4 and BANG! :thumbdwn: i blew out both my hubs at the same time or close to it, soo im a maybe now, because i only get payed on thursday or friday, then i have to order some new ones and install them soo well see

95 and up have auto locking hubs and they run about $200 a piece if you're lucky I was going to offer the same thing as Rookie since I have 3 sets D) of warn manual locking hubs, but they're for first gens
