ok today i just checked the btry with the ign switch pulled the btry is at 12.56 looks like the drain is gone. You can for sure start a ex at 12.56 volts 100 percent charge is 12.6volts. Will plug in new ign switch and check for the spike on the trouble light

will let everyone know how it goes wish me luck!!!!!!

well i'm still getting a .01 or so drop every 1 hour and 20 mins i'm so lost on this one

EDIT yes in voltage

.01 drop in voltage?

any results man??? ur all set or what??

ok update i'm set it was a combo of the ign switch and the aftermarket alarm system

before replacing the switch it was dropping .01 every 5 to 10 mins
the ign switch replacement slowed the drain to .01 every hour and 20 mins

once i pulled the alarm box it was a python alarm it stopped altogether

hm that sucks. but atleast u got it. is the unit defective or just bad wiring?

I didn't notice where you said you had an aftermarket alarm system... those are notorious for causing electrical system draws.

I'm not sure I don't need it . I did not put it on there so 400 bucks later all i had to do was rip out the alarm system go figure

Hey Ree it was the first thing I noticed and asked my dad about it he gave the truck to me since he could never figure it out. You always check any after market accessories first. amps, alarms, remote starts, light kits, dvd kits

Thanks for all the help guys
