Trying to figure out what the bracket looks like on a 97 explorer at the rear that combines the two parking brake cables into one? I have searched online for various terms but the only one that comes up is GM brake cable equalizer. I don't have the old one. Cant find a part number online either.

IDK a part #, maybe this?

You mentioned GM brake cable equalizer and from the pics I see when I search for that, it looks like a simple straight piece like what is included in some Rock Auto cables like RAYBESTOS BC95388 Element 3:

Difficult to find part numbers

which part are you looking for?
The cable connector/equalizer
or the braket to frame (no number)?

The cable connector seems to come with the OEM brake cable

F87Z-2A635-GB Ford Genuine Part Parking Brake Cable

Some info on the ranger forum

The cable connector/equalizer. I found it called out as 2A602 under 2000 Explorer shop manual.

I think those are the intermediate cable connectors?
