part info transfercase

2002 V8 owner... would anyone know weather the V6 and the V8 use the same part TransferCase.. I'm replacing Mine.. Have the option to buy a 2nd hand V6 case..

No, he has selectable. The mountaineers were awd. Going off common sense I'd say they're both the same.

Pretty sure they are the same. T-case is a BW4410 or BW4411, depending on AWD or 4WD, for V6 or V8. I haven't seen any other distinction anywhere. You might double check for tags or casting numbers that they match yours though.

thanks for the help guys... FYI... in Australia a new Tcase for a o2 explorer Is 7000.00 Aust.. from ford aust.. or they have a 2nd hand Case for 5800.00.. i brought mine for 500.00 shipped to my door step from New Zealand

Holy cr%^ that's like 6100 us for a used case or 7350 us for a new one how much is a used Explorer?

Any way as long as yours is selectable 4 wheel and the one you got is from a selectable truck you should be good. V8, V6 should not matter.
