Can anyone point me in the right direction. I have a 2002 Explorer XLS and would like to find a diagram so i know what parts are that i need to replace.
Specifically I need to be able to see the blend doors for the heat/air system.
Thanks

Well, I started out with the ticking noise, then just cold air. So I know the actuator needs replacing. In the mean time I decided that until I have time to replace it, I would see if I could get heat coming out instead of cold air. Kinda hard to explain without a picture of what I'm talking about, but here goes. Behind the trim that goes around the radio and air controls, there is a big black box at the bottom. At the front of that box there appears to be a flap inside cause on the drivers side there is a shaft that sticks out and on the passenger side also, but it is not as easily seen on the passenger side. On the passenger side there is a silver rod that is attached and goes back somewhere under the dash. Upon trying to move this flap to test for heat I broke the tip off that the silver rod fastens to. Needless to say I can now move tje flap but still no heat. I need to know what kind of flap this is and how to access it to replace.

Oh yea, This is a great site and thanks for the quick reply.

i have a factory service manual so let me know what kind of diagram you need and ill find it for you.

Well as i said above, I need to get into the black air ductwork in the center of the dash below the radio and behind the air controls. In my post above I have tried to describe it.
