Thanks ! I gave it all a look.. Im wondering tho.. since I have a 93 X and the panel looks a bit different.... and the window is down ie very little wiggle room .. is there any thing else I oughta know......... I looked through the threads.. but came up short on that situation?

As a temp fix to get the window up, try whacking the crap out of the motor with a screwdriver handle while holding the UP window button down (make sure your hand is not in the way if it starts moving). This technique has worked for me on GM window regulators...

If that doesn't work, the plastic balls in the mechanism probably have decintergrated, jamming it up for good. Unfortunately this is probably more likely on the Ford motors, the GM ones tend to go bad in the same way starters do (stuck/worn brushes)

I've never actually had one of the Ford ones out, you might have to be creative in finding a way to get the glass disconnected from the motor so you can get it out of the way... and do be careful with the spring mechanism, IIRC someone here cut their finger off with one.

Mine did the same thing, you just need to rebulid the window motor. Are the other windows going up and down slowly at all if so I would tell you to rebulid them at the same time. If you need help feel free to contact me, cause I just rebuilt all of mine.

power window update

Well.. I drilled out the dimple. and was able to remove the window motor. I took a look at it. I unplugged it and was thinking I would try opening it up and seeing what the problem was. Then, I had a thought. I plugged the motor back in and turned on the ignition and pressed the window button. Motor ran just fine both directions. HUH? Maybe the window is just jammed in the track. I manually moved the window up and down .. NO PROBLEM. HUH? so.. I put the motor back in and everything works just fine.. JUST FINE son of a &%$#!!!!! Well.. it didnt cost me anything but time...

Thanks for all the input gang!

Ben
