pass side window switch works intermittently 98 awd mountie

I am about to pull out my hair. The dang window switch works when it decides to on the passenger side. The door lock switch on the other side never works. Ideas?

If it NEVER works - like the lock button - look for a broken wire in the boot between the door and the body.

Re the intermittent window switch: Does it work in one direction, or not work in both? Does the driver side master switch work the pass side window?

The master switch works all windows. The only issue is with the passenger side switch. Its like it has a mind of its own. I raided a u-pull-it yard today and got a new switch assembly for a few bucks to see if it's just worn contacts or if there's a crimped/shorted wire in the door itself. I'll let you know tomorrow when I try the repair.
