Alright I'm in the garage right now getting ready to put on the passenger side upper ball joint on a 95x and the part I got from advanced is a one piece while the stock is the two piece design, Haynes also shows it being a two piece design, will it make a difference if I put in the one piece I have, looks identical to driver side but says its for passenger side  ???

Will it make any difference if I use the one piece on passenger side?

Anybody, anybody, I read all 16 pages through search and no clear cut answer? On that two piece part is the extra part for alignment purposes, if so why would they sell a one piece ball joint, is this no good for my passenger side?

One piece is ok. OEM come 2 piece, but a lot of aftermarket arms are only one piece. It does not affect alignment. If you want to be orthodox Moog makes them both styles.

The two piece will be a lot easier to change since you won't have to take out the pivot bolts.

Alright then well its on now (one piece), so if it aint crucial it aint comin off ;) if for some reason we decide this piece was needed just let me know so I can change it, thanx for the help guys

Need help here again, after changing inner & outer tie rods and both upper ball joints (lowers were fine) the steering wheel shakes now when making turns either way while giving gas   any ideas why the H#LL its doing this ???

when i replaced my ball joints and tie rod ends i got a horrid vibration too. i went and got it aligned and it seemed to get worse so i brought it back (pretty po-ed) and they told me i need a new power steering rack. i called my friend whos a mechanic and he said 95's had this problem with some valves (somewhere in steering). they are one way valves and when you have the truck off and you move the wheels back and forth it lets fluid the wrong way into the valves, causing a terrible shudder while you steer. the fix was simple, turn the truck on and turn the wheels, lock to lock, to get the fluid out. sure enough it worked. he said this was a problem on 95's only, but the symptoms sound similar. i hope this helped, even a little bit. ( i know you have a 99)

Thanx to all who helped, this board just saved me: $1100 (Dobbs Quote) / actual parts $310 = savings $790 Rick can we say elite payment coming your way ;) thx for an excellent site
