PAT system issues

As the ttile states, I am having some issues with my PAT (anti thief) system. My FOB key stopped working out of no where. I literally hopped in my car to go to CVS. When i returneed to my car, all of a sudden my FOB didnt work. Now my engine wont turn over to start ...does anyone know how to bypass it? can the alarm system be disconnected so i can start my car? Anything?!

...PS, i have a '01 Fod Explorer Sport (4WD)

you don't give any details other than the FOB not working and the engine not cranking to start, but that doesn't sound like a PATS problem. it sounds more like a bad battery connection to me. when this happens NOTHING works. PATS would just prevent the engine from starting by disabling the fuel injectors.
