PCM Code Pull?

the dreaded OD OFF light is flashing.

is there a way to pull the PCM codes myself, or do i HAVE TO take it to a ford dealer and pay for the complete diagnostics?

For $40ish most autoparts stores carry an Actron pocket scan that can get your codes.

Autozone will also pull them for free, but call ahead for availability and confirm they can do your 97

OD light flashing = dont drive it, your trans is in default mode right now which is not good for extended driving.
