I am trying to locate the PCV valve on my "taineer" but can't seem to find it. I've read the Haynes manual and it says that on the V8's it's located behind the intake manifold. Has anyone esle been able to change theirs w/o a problem?

The Haynes manual is correct... It can be a little difficult(you will be working by feel).BTW Ford will change it for free at 60k.Good luck!

I don't see how ford would change a pcv valve for free with no other work to be done. I like to do my own work, and if i cant, then I go to the shop. As far as th manual...The back of the intake manifold, would that be by the fire wall or would the back mean the end facing the left fender?

Hey Norman.. Check your owners manual regarding the free PCV change(It's an emissions thing). It is located at the rear of the lower intake manifold(as you are facing the engine with the hood raised).

The PCV valve is at the back of the block towards the passenger side (behind the throttle body on the intake manifold).

It's bolted to the intake w/10mm bolts (2)
