Where's the location on a '94? I've heard the intake manifold, but am not sure what the X's pcv valve looks like. There are a couple things that may be it, anybody have a pic or a better location description? Thanks!

Look at the top left rear of the valve cover. Thats on a 96 4.0 Yours might be the same.

It's on the rear drivers side, directly below the tree that all the vacume lines connect to.
It will be a short hose about 2-3 inches long and about 1/2-3/4 inches in diameter (working off memory) going from a pipe (it comes out of the side of the intake manifold and turns toward the back) to the PCV valve that just slides into hole on the top of the valve cover.

Yours may be different, but my PCV valve had the hose fitting pointing straight up.
However every book I've looked at says the correct PCV valve is one with side facing fittings that don't leave enough room for the hose without crimping it.
So I use the part number for 95+ and everything is fine.

Not sure if this is right, I may have found it, it's the only thing I can find that 2 tubes go to, one right above the other, just like there are ports for on the valve. A pic is attached below. The thing I believe containing the valve is the big yellow circle, the 2 tube heads are circled in the small circle.

I dont know what it is that you are looking at in that picture but it is wrong. The PCV valve is located on the drivers side valve cover towards the fire wall. I have attached a pic (hopefully it works) and you can see the PCV valve in the center of the pic. Its the white thing with the hose coming off of it.

AARGHH I can never get the pics to work right... Click Dead Link Removed to view the pic...

Thanks! I think I know where that is.

Or not... Could you put that pic back up so I can save it? It seems our valve covers contain different things. Maybe yours isn't EGR, if that makes a difference. I can't believe this thing is so hard to find, how easy is it to change? I heard it's very easy, but hearing is different from doing.

How's this?
All of the spark plug wires run through little plastic clips to keep them from flopping around.
Those clips are attached to the valve covers.
Find the rear spark plug on the drivers side.
Look straight up from there on top of the valve cover.
There is the PCV valve.
And it will only have one hose on it.
The new valve you got should have the smaller hose fitting plugged up, you won't use it.

And changing it is easy.
You pull up on it and it slides up out of the valve cover, then pull it off the hose.
Or remove the hose first, whichever is easier.

Wow that was easy! My problem was the shape of the new valve. It looks a lot different from the stock one, so I was looking for one familiar in shape.
