ya mine is for sure a compressor squeek. Before I had rubber built up on my pulleys (belt shredded when dealer did the water pump) . Cleaned the rubber off (there was a lot) and it went away.
I thought it was squeeking as the rubber build up and when the a/c compressor engaged it slipped a little.
My belt is cracked a little ( 30k miles on it). I have had good luck with gator backs and reading on some mustang forums (4.6l guys) complaining about the "chirping noise" and saying a gatorback belt fixed it.
