PIAA 510's on roof. Too small?

IMHO anything under a 5 1/2 " or any fog light looks stupid on the roof. plus Fogs should be mounted low as to give full usefullness of the lights design.

Got 'em mounted (but not wired...)

Here are the PIAA 80 Pro XT's that I just got. All four are the driving lights as opposed to two driving and two pencil as I said before. I also got a set of PIAA 520 fog's to go on the new bumper.

Looks much better then the little 510's, huh?

You've created quite an air dam/break on the top of your truck... What kind of highway MPG's do you get now?

Oh, and what gauge wire are you running to the 80XT's?

Heh, I gave up on worrying about MPG's a while ago. If I was worried about that, I'd have traded it in for a hybrid.

I'm going to use either 12 or 16 gauge to wire them up. The wiring harnesst hat comes withthe lights is actually pretty narrow considering they are 120 watt lights. I'll post more pics once I get them wired. Then I'll take a nice night shot of all of the lights on. And more once I get the new bumper and the 520's wired up.

Truck & lights are LOOKING GOOD.
You may have already seen this, http://catalog.com/susq/other/wiring.htm , but it is a good guide to wire size & length.
I have the 80XT on both my car & Mtneer and they put out a very impressive amount of light. You wont be dissapointed.

I like 'em. What did you do with the Yakima nameplate? Got to put that back on.

Actually, it's still there. It folds down for longer loads and so on. I folded it down to bolt on the lights, and just forgot to flip it back up for the pics. It's tilted back up now. I'll post more pics later once my latest batch of mods is done.

I have started to think that my first alteration to my new toy would be lighting. How did you run the wire for your lights? What do people suggest? I am opposed to drilling a hole in the roof, but running wire down the pillars would be unsightly too.

I'll take some photos for you and post them later.

That would be great - thanx I know how to wire and all of that - just need a neat way of doing it.
