So I got a stock 99 explorer and the fog lights suck, wondering if anyone here has installed the PIAA 510's in theres and what htey had to do to make it work. The light itself is about the same size, just wondering about brackets, etc.

Guess you are just going to have to get some L brackets and spend some time on your back. Try to stay awake.
It should look good when you are finished. Keep us up to date Matt.

To tell you the truth I haven't installed th PIAA 510 in my bumper>but I did install KC daylighters 25 series and you don't have to change anything they go right in only thing you really have to do is connec the wires .

got any pics of it?

I used the 510s but not in the bumper. Based on the stuff I've seen in the junkyard, they should be a perfect fit.

Matt,

If you've got an extra set of 510s laying around, I could use a set for the PIAA airdam on the F-150. I'm all wired-up, just too cheap to spend $300 for a pair of 55-watt lights!

Unfortunately I already got rid of the set that I had in my airdam at one time... but looking to get another set for the explorer... probably the ion crystal yellow ones... those things really kick ass in snow and rain. Not the best for seeing way down the road like driving lights, but at least you can use em in teh city and not get pulled over.
