In your opinion or personal experience, how much do you think PIAA 520 (complete kit) Black fog lamps go for? I just got a Westin Safari Light bar, and it looks pretty sweet, just like Bob's Ride, but im missing lights. I just started a new quarter so money's flowin like the Colorado for tuition books and unnecessary school supplies like light bars and lights. i saw an internet deal on www.offroadwarehouse.com . They are the local offroad shop in my city and they carry the 520s for $175. before i saw the deal on the web, i went in and their "best offer" was friggin $190. Whats up with that? anyone know of a better place to purchase the 520's for reeeally cheap/reliable. no auctions please... too shady for me. and what is the brew-ha-ha with the 520 MSR's? ive seen them already on the auction block on Ebay and the PIAA website. whats so great about them? thanks for readin.

PIAA"s aint cheap... $175 isn't too bad of a deal. The difference between the PIAA 520 and teh PIAA 520 MSR is that the regular PIAA 520's use an amberish light and the beam is regulated by the lens, meaning they have the same reflectors and same housings. With the 520 MSR's the beam is regulated by the reflectors, but they have VIRTUALLY the same lens. The 520 MSR's are also a clear light rather then an amber light and I'm told are going to be quite a difference. I'm waiting for my MSR replacement lenses/reflectors for the 520's I've got on my F-150 now, we're going to see just how diferent they are :). I'll be swapping em as soon as I get em and letting everyone know what I think. My price on the 520's and the 520's MSR is $180 through the group purchase and thats about $2 over my cost, so if you are getting them for $175 I say take it.
Here's where I'll be swappin em :).

dude, you are the LIGHTS GURU! You sure you dont work for PIAA??? btw, do you have any light locks for all your PIAA's? are they worth it?

also, i couldnt help but notice that you are from littleton colorado. scarry thought man. I myself am from San Diego. We just had two of our own high school shootings in a matter of a few weeks. Its cool to see your town on Yahoo and CNN and all them other international news stations, but not painted red. Its a crazy world out there.

Matt, When are you going to lift that beast?

Hui, I keep light locks on all of my lights that have easily accessibly bolts. SO the ones behind the airdam I don't worry about, but the ones on the brush guard and roof I do. That's mainly because I try to prevent "joe thug walking by" from stealing my stuff, but realize theres not much I can do for "joe expert career criminal who really wants some PIAA's". I've had PIAA's on my vehicles since 98, and have light locks on em, and have never had em tampered with or stolen or anything, and I have parked it in some pretty shady areas of town...

4Wheelin, I might have it lifted by the end of the year, it definately needs something! :). I thought of just putting on some 33"s (it's got 31"s on there right now) but said well, if I'm going ot lift it in a few months, might as well save up and buy the 35"s instead :). Hell maybe even go really wild and get a 4" suspension lift, 3" body lift, and stick some 38"s under there, LOL (that's not gonna happen don't worry). The F-150's are cool though because you can fit a 33" tire without lifting it one bit. Not like the Explorers where just to get a 31" tire on you need a body lift at least :).
