I really would like to know if its hidden UP in the bumper or if it bolts on where the tow hooks do and will hang down a mile...
Looks like it sits above the tow hook mounts but I can't be sure and don't want it if it will mess up my approach angle...
Amazon has three to choose from two curt and one hidden hitch...
Hey Will I know N.Gardner and thepotroast on here both had one. Not sure of the brand but I'm pretty sure they both occupy the tow hook holes and hang down below where the airdam is....so yeah, pretty low.
You could always get one and figure out how to re-fab it so the receiver sits up higher or even comes thru a hole in the bumper cover.

How'd you guess lol
I like the one that truck winch accessories(the company that makes that brush guard with a winch mount) makes with a second hitch on front of winch for a hitch mount rack or other accessory
I like the thought of using it between the truck and a trailer to maybe drag something onto it...(id take out if towing)
Yeah and that hitch is low I'm thinking if it was "placed" on top of the frame instead of under in my tow hook holes it'd be about perfect height to come out behind the plate the only thing will be slicing a hole in the steel bumper since with bl it is there.. gotta make sure I can access the pin through hole in bumper...
Yeah, I'm sure you could just flip it and mount it upside down ontop of the frame rails then line your bumper cover up and see what youll have to trim?
Pretty much what I'm going to try and do id like the plate on a hinge so you don't see the hitch until I flip it up and there's a hitch 7 pin harness and winch power plug
haha i like those pics.... its been way too long since i been on here.
unfortunetly i blew my trans solonoid so my X is sittin in my garage, bummer :/ waitin on parts
the hitch and basket i did sell on craigslist, and unfortunately, no you cannot flip the hitch because of the placement of the Ac condernser, it wont fit upside down.

Good to see you on here. Great info on hitch I thought you may have thought about it..
I wasn't thinking of flipping it but instead bolt it to top of frame and it would sit inbetween frame rails... My concern is the actual steel bumper and how those brackets sit in a bit... May need to be a one off hitch very similar to yours in style... Time to break out the welder...
(Plan to start after beach trip next weekend) and juggle that and my custom off road trailer in the works
I've gotta stay busy LOL
