just make sure your passengers KNOW not to hit them.....believe me........

:)

Looks good, I would prefer to see all 3 gages in a single row (next to teh voltage) but its not my truck so what do I care!! PLus I am just being critical because I am in the process of designing and building a full custom center console........

not that part of the install i was talking about,
the installing the senders (i have heared about people craking there blocks by over tighting) and where on the engine to hook up.
where did you get the gauges and the all inportant $

Just curious, what are the switches for on top of the console?

Yes I overtightened a fitting and cracked a block, but it was not the fitting you need to thread into for the oil pressure.................

Its pretty straight forward to install senders. Zthe best write up comes with the gages in the form of instructions.

ya when the temp comes up above freezing i will go out and take pictures i have been thinking about moving the gauges. onethought is to put them in the console although i wouldnot be able to see them they would be there for easy access to check the health of my engine

i just need to get a hold of another concole peice

the switches are for off road lights and the one all teh way to the right is the lights in the gauges in case they got distracting and the one behind the steeringwheel that you cant see is for my apten

as for the senders
1. Remove the front swaybar (not necessary but makes a lot easier.
2.remove the powersteering cooler
3.remove the stock sender
4. place precision machined braff male by 2x feamle t fitting with stock sender at the end into the block
5. tighten it by hand as tight as you can go eth 2xmore with a socket
6 then get an extension about 6inches of pipe i used multiple adapters cause that is all i had
7. at the end i used a tfitting 2xfeamale 1xmale. i then used a coupling and a 1/4-1/8th adapter fitting for my temp sender.
8. then screw in the autometer pressure sender
9. replace swaybar and p/s coler and refill with synthetic fluid and rotate lock to lock
10. watch while you have someone rev the engine to check for leaks and to make sure the senders doesent hit anything.

the gauges were around 50bucks on ebay and another 50 for the pods trans fluid fittings and autometer sender wire.

insatllation took around 8 hours all togather most of which was spent figuring out how to make the senders fit. get the friggen power steering clamps off and reaching back in forth from the bottom and top of the engine.

it should probrally take no more than three hours for someone older with more expierence than myself a 17year highschool student

Billy, your truck is pretty sick. I live in Glastonbury CT. I like the gauges...especially the voltage one. Where did you hook it up to? Thanks alot, nice work.

the voltage gauge was originally a cyberdyne that pluged into the cigarrete lighter i modified it so it could be wired up. i then just drilled some holes in my console and zip tied it in there. it turned out realnice cause it fits perfectly in there and you cant see the ties.

since teh aux lighter is awalys on i ran a jumper wire in the fuse panel to power it only when the ignition is on

here s a pic from my old digital cam
