What I can't figure out is why people would spend all this money on autosound and then play crap sounding MP3s through them ... is everyone's hearing so far shot that can't hear how cruddy and full of high frequency arifacts MP3's are ... they are OK for 50 buck computer speakers but damn, it isn't called lossy compression for nothing ....
You could probably do just as well, soundwise, at half the cost and give up some of the bells and whistles .... there is nothing wrong with it per se, just a lot of unneeded and costly extras
I actually just bought it from sonic electronix on a Buy it now auction on Ebay. It was way cheaper than crutchfield and it came with everything crutchfield sends you. I haven't installed yet but I really like the clean look of the face and just because it plays mp3s doesn't mean you have to listen to mp3s.....
cool man i just ordered it tonight on ebay, i think from the same place. i also go the sirius tuner for some satellite radio. can't wait to get it all put in
I want to get one for my 04, does that sonic electronix have their own site? Or do I have to go on e-bay for it. If e-bay what should I search for the receiver or the company? Sorry new to e-bay. Thanx

You may consider the -P770MP (Premier). It's not as expensive, but also has 4-volt pre-outs and adds AAC playback, which in my opinion are far superior to MP3's. I can tolerate MP3's with a bare minimum bitrate of 128 kbps, but it's not something I get into. Just for rare songs I never hear otherwise. Hell, my old Alpine doesn't play CD-R's but it don't bother me none.
