I'll try and make it, I sure could use the ocean weather. It's too damn hot here.

Clark, I totally know what you mean. These guys lift their trucks for looks. I've met two explorer owners(not part of the forum... I think) and they were *****. All I wanted to do was talk to them about explorers. There's this one guy in town with a lifted first gen, I said, "hey, nice truck." All he did was stare at me. Only nice explorer owners I've met are the older owners.

I saw a lifted explorer at CSU Fresno. I want to meet that guy... and maybe I could get him to go to pismo too.

this is turning out to be really good.. truthfully, i only thought like there only would be like three people willing to go, but its still early to be saying anything, I just hope nobody cancels.. but yeh, man some people are ass's!

I have been asking a few of the guy's at work that have nice looking 4by's if they would be interested in going. Each one of them had thier own little reason why they can't. It was depressing because with all the nice trucks and suv's in the parking lot at work mine is the only one that see's trail use. The other day I was giving this dude some hell. I was telling him that my stock X could do stuff that his mid70's lifted k5 blazed could not. Everytime he said I was BS'ing him I said how do you know it's never seen dirt by you. (I know his truck would eat mine, if he would take it to the trails)

I really don't understand having a nice rig and not using every feature of it. If your truck has a/c use it. If it has a radio, crank it up. But most of all if it is 4Wheel drive, wheel it!

I kno what you mean man, The owner of Titan motorsports has a 24 inch lifted F-150 on 45's with king shox that he got for free from king.. I asked him how that thing handled on trails and dirt and he said "oh its a show truck" The guy is really cool and his truck is even cooler, it just sucks to see such a great truck go to waste... I'm only 2wd and I mobb harder then alot of 4x4's here..

i'll be in SLO thursday - sunday of this coming week. took a new job this past friday and going to LA for the early part of the week. my bro is in SLO so i'm staying on for a few days to visit him. maybe i'll see one of the cali Xs riding around. maybe next time i'll hook up with some of you CA folks.

nah.. i doubt i'll have much free time. i'll only have a few days of leisure time and i'll be hanging out with my brother most of that time. he does want to go to the dunes though. if i see any explorers there.. i'll be sure to say howdy

LOL, If I was closer I'd might consider it. But damn, looks like its exclusively for '5.0s', lol as I was looking at all the people going, and just about all of em got the 5L V8 Explorers, which is sweet!

All with 5+ inches of lift too! This will make for some good photo opportunities.

You dont need one.. I think you only need it if you drive a quad or dirtbike.. but for trucks they are not mandatory...

trucks dont need flags as long as they are street legal and registered with licenceplates. if you have a green or red sticker then you need a flag.

Well, I may be able to make an appearance, kinda depends on the funds in the old gas account(checking account).

GIJOE just PM'ed me and told me to check out this thread. There's a chane I will make it. Depends on $$$ really!!! As of right now My Oct looks like, 1st weekend is a Glamis trip, 11-12th open, 18-19 desert race/prerunning with the Exploder, 25-26 Pismo?, Holloween- desert again. I'll see if I can make the pismo happen. And that's not even considering the fact that every weekend in Sept is booked already too!!!
