Midas..??

I just came back from Midas to check them out...getting a set of Gabriel shocks + installation comes out to $230..i think thats too high...what do you all think...i thought Gabriel shocks go for 25 a piece...pretty overpriced...

let me know what you think...

Yeah, I would think 230 is a little high for shocks, especially since they can be easily installed on your own. You might want to try a locally owned auto parts store. None of the chain stores in my area carry Monroe either, except for Western Auto, but they moved out of my area a while back. Good luck!!

have you considered buying edelbrock IAS shocks? i hear those are supposed to be real good. whats the general opinion on those? a buddy of mine has them

Im looking for shocks myself and i have been doing alot of searching on the board. i have herd good reviews about the edlebrock in terms of performance, but i have also read that there is a problem with them leaking oil. For example there is a guy on the board that replaced 3 out of his new edlebrocks cause the leak. The only plus is that there is a lifetime Warranty on them but who wants to deal with replacing them all the time, after all the research i think im going to edn up getting the bilsteins havent herd any bad things about them and they are suposed to be very good, and alittle cheaper then the edlebrocks which is good!!
