Hey everyone, whats up.

I am hoping that you guys can help me because I am totally lost. I am getting ready to put in a new cd player and replace all door speakers with 300 watt speakers. These are going to be run off of a 1000 watt amp making the speakers take 250 watts a piece. I wont be running any subs so I dont have to worry about that power loss. I dont know how much this is going to suck up my battery because I do intend on running it alot with the truck turned off and I will tell you why.

After I get the stereo all situated I am putting in a dvd player and a flip down 13 inch screen in the very back of the car facing forward. This is because my girlfriend and I like to go camping and we would like to watch movies at night when we are out there. All I am going to need to run to the dvd player is the power outlets. I dont need to hook it up to the stereo because it has one of those fm transmitters that transmitt to 88.7fm or something like that so I will pick up the sound from the radio frequency.

So now I am going to have a cdplayer, 1000 watt amp, 4 300 watt 5x7's, a dvd player, and a 13 inch flip down screen all running off of the battery because I will have the truck turned off at night. I know this is not enough power. I am looking into the dual battery concept but I still dont think it will be enough. What do you guys think? I came across this while researching this project and I think this idea might work.

This battery charger actually mounts inside the engine compartment permanently.

I am thinking that while I run a little generator that is plugged into this charger and I have all of my equiptment running, it will keep a steady flow of electricity and keep my battery/batteries near full. Does this sound like it will work? Can anyone give me any better ideas without saying "you just cant do this and run it with the car off". Thanks for any info you guys can give.

dual batteries, a super alternator.... and possibly the generator... but not sure how the generator operates... is it its own gas engine?
or does it need to have your truck running to operate it?

Its own gas engine.
