Plastic cover on my 2004 mercury mountaineer v8 4.6

I really want to know if there is a plastic cover that fits above the spark plugs on a 2004 Mercury mountaineer awd v8 4.6. I had my car tuned up and I know there was a plastic cover there. My mechanic told me that it doesn't exist. I really need to know, because I swear it was there before I took the vehicle in. Am I wrong. Have I been imagining this the whole time??? This has been posted before. I believe the 2002 model is the only one that came with it. Your alternator bracket is where the front of it mounts.

I believe you are right. I had one on my 2002 V8 Explorer but not on the 2003 V8 Mountaineer.

I appreciate your replies, but if I had a plastic cover on my 2004 mountaineer v8 4.6. I took it to the garage and they claim it never had one. I know it did and I remember it well. Does anyone know the exact part #.

Let me rephrase... I had a plastic cover above my plugs because I was about to install a egr valve and I truly remember the cover being in the way. Again if anyone has this vehicle ( 2004 4.6 v8 awd ) please let me know. Thanks
