- 2010 ford explorer EB
2010 EB explorer..only 43,000 miles on it... just purchased three months ago... 60 day nys warranty ran out 20 days ago.... 3 days ago I was driving and the truck went into limp mode... restarted it and it ran fine..then two days ago it did same thing and check engine light came on... went to auto store and ran codes, it came up 2112 and 2104 which led to throttle body... my buddy and I got a brand new throttle body w/sensor and installed it... 2 miles down road truck went back into limp mode...took truck back to friends house and took out the new throttle body since it must not have been that and installed old one...(will take new one back for refund)
drove truck again and it went back into limp mode but this time check rcs or rsc came on and check engine light came back on... ran friends scanner and it gave these codes, U2023,P0122,P0222,P060B,P2104,P2110,P2112,P1000,P2127,P2132..actually repeated these codes bunch of times.. I am no mechanic so I took to local ford dealer..He kept it for 3 hours and ran it thru all test...says he ran all pin point test and only thing he found was many a loose connection at pcm... he then blew out the connection and reconnected it... ran it for 15 miles with laptop plugged in and said it ran fine.. charged me the $88.00 diagnostic fee and sent me on way...
I drove the 20 miles back home and 1 mile before house truck did same exact thing again.... truck keeps stalling, now check engine light is back and I cant go very far without it going into limp mode... I re ran codes with scanner and now it gives the same exact codes as above...I am at a lost of words.. I don't have a ton of money to shell out.. but I love the truck and only 43,000 miles on her... I afraid to take to dealer again as I don't want them to keep fixing things and charging more just to have it not work.. im afraid next they will charge me a house for a new pcm and then it wont fix it and I keep paying into this..anyone have any ideas? anywhere to check? three hour pinpoint check at dealer showed nothing... im at lost of words...thanks
