you could just drive it without the driveshaft for the time being. i have no idea about the bearings, i would think they are just like a regular cv. just put them back in the holes.
Are you referring to the drive shaft (between the t-case and front diff) or the CV axle? If its the driveshaft you can drive the vehicle without it installed. If its a CV shaft, the attached link should help explain how to put it back together.
